For too long, women have received less pay, less appreciation, and fewer promotions within the pink-collar jobs. Nurses, teachers, assistants, beauty technicians, caregivers. All work that is vital to the world moving each day. All are underpaid, and most are still critically undervalued in society.
We are working together to change the generational mindsets that keep us stuck in these places. The societal norms that have been fed to us from our own mothers and their mothers before them. We are learning to value ourselves first. That we are worthy even if society tries to push us into a very small and tidy box. If we break the mindset, we can rise together to bring pink-collar women forward in a real way. We learn we are allowed to dream and reach for more for ourselves. And what a beautiful thing that is.
